About Joy

Joy Morrison is running for Radford City Treasurer with a focus on transparency, accessibility, and modernization. As a graduate of Grayson County High School and Radford University, this is home. After graduating, she then transitioned to the private sector, working in finance, payroll, and managing HR operations. She worked her way up the chain to become the HR and Payroll Manager of a national company. After years of managing payroll and operations, she knows how even small errors can add up and how to fix them. Joy is committed to bringing clear, simple updates on how taxpayer money is managed in Radford, as well as setting up a dedicated DMV service line to reduce wait times and making it easier for residents to access tax amounts owed and easily pay online. Joy believes that by improving our online payment systems, bringing accessibility for everyone, and maintaining clear public communication, we can restore our public trust in Radford City’s finances and operations.
